The Commodity Weather Group is searching for our next operational meteorologist – this full-time, completely remote position will focus on weather forecasting and consulting within the energy/agriculture risk management sector.  I should note that this is an expansion position for our company.

This position is full-time and completely remote.
Requirements / Necessary Skills:
– Bachelor’s (or Master’s) degree in meteorology or closely related science
– Strong interest in operational weather forecasting
– Excellent written and verbal communication
– Exemplary customer service traits
– Self‐motivated individual
– Creative, positive-minded personality
– Ability to collaborate in a remote team environment
– Open to working early hours of the day (typical start time is 4:00-4:30 am Eastern, M-F)
Starting salary for this position is $60,000, plus a comprehensive benefits package including:

CWG consults for hundreds of companies in energy/agriculture risk management, including renewables, crop data, and weather-driven demand information ranging from short-term to seasonal time scales. CWG also owns/manages the StormVista weather models service. CWG has a very high client retention rate with extremely low employee turnover and is looking for its next impactful addition to its dedicated weather team.
