Woolpert, previously known as eTrac, is recruiting interns. We are a hydrographic survey company so our day to day can vary and our interns are usually assigned a team within the company structure to focus on. That can look like becoming an intern that works in the field or in the office on one of our summer season NOAA projects (this year it is Chesapeake Bay), it could be working on my team fully office based where we heavily focus on pipeline and cable inspections with the use of geophysical equipment and ROVs, and it could be working with our dredging team to complete, process, and compute volumes in support of harbors, ports, and channels throughout Alaska, Washington, Texas, and California. We make sure to fully immerse our interns into our day to day and don’t pigeonhole them into one singular task or role. Our main office is located in San Rafael, CA we do have intern positions in our Port Orchard, WA office, Wasilla, AK office, Houston, TX office, and Charleston, SC office. Our vessels range in size from 20ft to 75ft; our smaller boats are day ops whereas our larger vessels are liveaboards for a couple week rotation at a time but going to the dock often for data drops and resupply.

We are a cool group of nerds with very diverse backgrounds and skill sets who genuinely enjoy boats, being on the water, and exploring all aspects of marine science. The application period closes on March 3rd.
