Spain: Exploring Community Engagement, Family, & Culture in Barcelona and the Camino de Santiago is a Maymester study abroad course aimed at fostering intercultural competence, community engagement, self-reflection, and a more global understanding of youth, family, and community sciences in Barcelona and along Spain’s historic Camino de Santiago. Students will learn about youth, family, and community issues within an international context and develop skills to effectively engage with diverse populations across cultural, geographical, and linguistic differences.
The course, set for Maymester 2023, is open to undergraduate and graduate students across all disciplines, and it fulfills the undergraduate Global Knowledge requirement.
