We are excited to announce the 2026 NWA Annual Meeting Student Registration Fund. Thanks to a generous donation from NBC 4 New York and Telemundo 47, this fund was established to help cover registration costs for students attending the National Weather Association Annual Meeting.
Here is what you and your students need to know:
Meeting Details
● The 2026 Annual Meeting will take place in Omaha, NE, from October 17-21.

Funding Information
● The fund will offset the cost of the Early Bird Member registration rate.
○ If an awardee has already registered at a higher rate, they will be reimbursed for the full price paid.
● Please note that travel, meal, and lodging expenses will NOT be covered and will be the responsibility of the recipient.
Eligibility Requirements
● Any undergraduate or graduate student majoring in meteorology (or a related field) attending an accredited college or university in the United States may apply.
● Applicants must be US citizens or students with residence status.
● Past recipients of this specific award are ineligible.
● NWA membership is encouraged, but not required to apply.
