MEAS Undergraduate Updates
SPS has planned a really exciting computational physics event for Saturday 4/4 in the Riddick Hall hearth from 10 AM-2PM.  This is a great opportunity to add to your resume by participating in a team-based technical challenge.  You are encouraged to gather a team and sign -up! If you can’t find a team and want one, let Dr. Dougherty (dbdoughe@ncsu.edu) know and he will try his best to connect people “looking for group”.  If you want to compete individually that is also welcomed.
The physics hackathon is an opportunity to work in teams to create a computational physics project. Students who have taken PY 205 and 208 will have all the physics information they need to compete. The competition will be from 10 am to 2 pm on Saturday, April 4th. There will be 3 hours to work on your code and presentation, then 30 minutes for round-robin presentations to judges. Snacks (chips and cookies) will be provided. To sign up, follow this link and fill out the form.
