Are you interested in education outreach? We are excited to again offer a special topics course on tutoring and service learning. NC State students will learn basic principles of tutoring and service learning, then apply their skills working with middle grades students at a local partner school. Students interested in education in all content areas (Mathematics, Science, English/Language Arts, Social Studies) are encouraged to enroll. (2 credit hours)
EMS 296 Special Topics: Tutoring in K-12 Schools
Weeks 1-5: Complete online modules
Weeks 6-15: Tutor students at partner school (1.5 hrs/wk). Must provide own transportations.
