The North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences has budgeted a 10-hr per week job for a technician for the Geology Unit at the Museum of Natural Sciences. The hours will be split between Collections and lab. The collections portion will assist in implementation of the new Specify database extension for minerals. In the lab, they will learn about infrared spectroscopy, sample prep and geochemical analysis. Pay is $15-19 per hour.
