The Division of Academic and Student Affairs (DASA) is seeking applicants for our spring 2026 Pack Assessment Ambassadors! Assessment Ambassadors help the division learn more about students’ university experiences by collecting and analyzing qualitative data. Ambassadors moderate focus groups, analyze the transcripts, review the results and make recommendations to the division for improving students’ experiences. This is a paid position: 5 hours/week at $14/hour beginning in January (spring 2026). The full position description is linked here. No prior experience is necessary; but students must have a willingness to learn.
As a result of participating in Pack Assessment Ambassadors, students will:
- Demonstrate best practices of focus group moderation.
- Facilitate focus groups with peers.
- Apply qualitative coding techniques to interview transcripts.
- Develop qualitative assessment skills that will translate to a research environment.
- Present their findings and recommendations at the Undergraduate Research Symposium.
