Interested in finding funding to support your research projects? The Office of Undergraduate Research provides semesterly Project Supply Grants to help you accomplish your research goals! Before you can apply, students must attend one Project Supply Grant Help Session. These sessions are designed to support your proposal development and provide key information on applying for funding. The 2025 KIETS Climate Leaders Program Fall Symposium
The symposium will highlight climate mitigation and adaptation solutions. Join an exciting and innovative symposium on Wednesday, October 1 and Thursday, October 2 for engaging speakers, panel discussions, poster presentations, showcase of innovations and networking opportunities. Plant Sciences Initiative Mashup: Nufarm and Ag Formulations
Join the Plant Sciences Initiative on Thursday, October 2nd for the fall mashup! NC PSI Mashups provide a stage for industry partners of the NC PSI and our NC State experts to showcase their exciting programs. Come learn and network with the local ag tech community! Industry partner for this Mashup will be Nufarm, with speakers Dr. Toni Aldridge and Grant Aldridge. Grant will share information about Nufarm as a leading global agricultural chemical company, while Toni will talk about the importance of formulation chemistry for developing agricultural products. NC State speakers are Dr. Terri Billeisen and Dr. Jim Martin. Terri and Jim will give an overview of a newly launched agricultural formulations certificate program and class that they are co-leading at NC State. In Search of Thoreau’s Flowers Exhibit
Search of Thoreau’s Flowers will be on display every Tuesday-Saturday until Jan. 31, 2026, at the Gregg Museum of Art & Design. This exhibition immerses viewers in Henry Thoreau’s study of plant life and extinction. Learn more by clicking here.
State of North Carolina Undergraduate Research & Creativity Symposium (SNCURCS)
SNCURCS Registration Is Live!
Students are strongly encouraged to gain research communication and presentation experience through this State of North Carolina Undergraduate Research and Creativity Symposium. This event is open to all students in North Carolina who have conducted research and is a supportive environment to showcase student work and further develop key skills.

SNCURCS Financial Assistance
NC State’s Office of Undergraduate Research will cover registration fees, poster printing, and arrange travel to/from SNCURCS for selected NC State presenters. Students seeking OUR support for SNCURCS participation must first fill out the SNCURCS Financial Assistance Request Form for consideration by Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at 9:00 a.m.
Share Your Science Symposium: Friday November 7, 1:00-5:00pm in Room 3285 Talley
This event, hosted by the Office of University Interdisciplinary Programs, will showcase the interdisciplinary research happening in fellowship programs supported by the Provost’s Office. It will highlight interdisciplinary research from students in these programs through research talks, flash talks, posters, and personal science stories. There will also be time for networking and opportunities to learn more about each of these units and ways to engage. Students, faculty, and staff from across the university are encouraged to attend!
