College Mentors for Kids (CM4K) is a national nonprofit that pairs college students with elementary-aged kids for one-on-one mentorship throughout the academic year. Here at NC State, our chapter meets weekly on campus, providing students the chance to mentor kids from local schools, build leadership skills, and make a real difference in the community. I’ve advised the NC State chapter for nearly four years, and each year I’m more impressed with the impact our students have on their “little buddies.”

CM4K is currently seeking students for both mentor and leadership roles in our NC State chapter.

Student Roles Include:

  • Mentors: Paired one-on-one with a child for the academic year.
  • Leadership Roles: Positions such as General Managers, Engagement Managers, Transportation Officers, Activity Directors, and Fundraising Directors (students can hold one of these roles and also serve as a Mentor).

Commitment:
Weekly meetings on campus, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays, 4:15 to 6:15 PM.

To Apply:
Students can fill out the application here by September 8th. Once the application is submitted, they’ll receive an email to schedule a brief interview.
