The University Sustainability Office is excited to announce a new paid sustainability internship opportunity this fall! Guided by a faculty mentor, five Campus as a Classroom interns (fall semester only) will explore circularity on campus, network with off-campus partners, and compile resource data for a regional public dashboard. Interns will begin with an introduction to circularity and industrial symbiosis, followed by engagement with NC State’s regional business partners to assess resource use and waste management. This project aims to enhance campus circularity, foster partnerships between campus operations and businesses, and connect public and private stakeholders.
While this project falls under the Campus As A Classroom umbrella, students will not be expected to attend monthly meetings and complete other program requirements of the year-long cohort.
Students will be expected to work for 10 hours/week at a pay rate of $18/hour. Both undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to apply. Applications will be accepted using this form until Wednesday, March 19th at 11:59pm
