Applications are now open for the EarthScope Internship Programs, including RESESS, Geo-Launchpad, and the Student Career Internship Program!

These programs offer incredible opportunities for undergraduates, graduate students, and recent graduates (within one year) eager to develop professional skills, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to impactful geoscience and geophysics initiatives.

About EarthScope and the Internship Programs:

EarthScope Consortium is committed to advancing geophysical research and education through community-driven initiatives. Our internship programs provide a unique combination of mentorship, skill-building, and real-world application in various geoscience and professional fields.

Programs Include:

  • RESESS (Research Experiences in Solid Earth Science for Students): A research-based internship designed to increase diversity in geosciences, offering research experience, professional development, and graduate school preparation.

  • GLP (Geo-Launchpad Program): A skill-building internship for community college students, preparing them for STEM careers through practical projects and professional development.

  • Student Career Internship Program: Hands-on internships focused on career development in areas such as data science, science communication, field engineering, and more.

 

Key Details for All Programs:

Who Should Apply: Undergraduates, graduate students, and recent graduates (within one year of graduation). You must be a current community college student to be eligible for GLP.

Application Deadline: February 15, 2025

Program Dates: mid-May to early August (~11 weeks)
