Research PD workshops

Professional Development Workshops-Everyone is Invited!  Students do not need to be engaged in research in order to attend.  If you are in one of the OUR’s funded programs, these will count towards your professional development activity requirement.  We look forward to seeing you there!

• October 17, 2024 2:00-3:00 P.M.-OUR: Developing Your Research Communication Skills (Registration)-learn how to deliver an informative and engaging elevator pitch
• October 21, 2024 1:00-2:00 P.M.-OUR: Maximizing the Use of the Libraries (Registration)-learn about all the different ways the libraries can help with your research and academics
• October 25, 2024 10:00-11:00 A.M.-OUR: Writing Tools for Researchers (Registration)-improve the power of your research writing
• October 30, 2024 10:00-11:00 A.M.-OUR: Applying to Graduate School and Fellowships (Registration)
• November 4, 2024 11:00-12:00 P.M.-OUR: Introduction to Using Spreadsheets or Date Services at the Library (Registration)-get familiar with different data management tools available to you
• November 8, 2024 10:00-11:00 A.M.-OUR: Finding Research Articles Using Web of Science and Other Databases (Registration)

Spring Project Supply Grant Applications Opening Soon!  The OUR can offer up to $500 for research project supplies.  But make sure you’re eligible!  Applicants must first attend a Project Supply Grant Help Session (you only need to do this once, but you must attend in full).  Make sure to sign up for one of the following help sessions if you haven’t previously attended one.
