Geoscience Scholars: Help Rewrite History!
We seek 20 Geoscience scholars for participation in ADI Geo-History with the History of Earth Sciences Society (HESS). Selected scholars will participate in a 1- day, pre-meeting field trip at the GSA Connects 2024 annual meeting in Anaheim, CA on 21 September 2024. Selected ADI Geo-History scholars will also participate in post-meeting activities to develop outreach materials related to the history of the resource extraction and extractive imperialism in Geosciences history. In exchange for these efforts, participating ADI Geo-History scholars will receive funding support to attend the GSA Connects annual conference (registration, 1-year GSA and History of Earth Sciences Society memberships, travel allowance of $800), and a $599 stipend upon completion and delivery of the outreach activity to their home academic departments about Geoscience history.
