The Oceantic Network’s summer internship program offers students the opportunity to help shape and contribute to the growing offshore wind and marine renewables industries. Interns work for a minimum of 10 weeks with flexible start and end dates in summer 2024. To apply for an internship with Oceantic Network, review details below and submit your application.

 About Oceantic Network’s Internships:

Oceantic Network interns gain valuable experience for their future careers and contribute to the advancement of renewable energy. Interns engage in practical and meaningful work in a collaborative environment, working alongside peers from national institutions and the team of experts at Oceantic Network. Interns work closely with mentors to develop an internship plan, identify learning opportunities, and receive feedback on performance.

Oceantic Network interns actively collaborate with all teams at the organization, including marketing, communications, design, events, policy, and operations. Interns will gain firsthand experience working for a dynamic and exciting nonprofit organization focused on the current and future growth of critical renewable energy industries.

Internship Positions:

Internship positions in the following areas are offered each summer. Interns will work either at Oceantic Network’s headquarters in Baltimore, MD, or a satellite office in Providence, RI; New Orleans, LA; or Portland, ME. Remote internships will also be considered on a case-by-case basis.

How to Apply:

The Network’s internship program is open to rising seniors and recent graduates of bachelor programs or students in master programs.  Applications for the Summer 2024 Internship program will be accepted between November 28, 2023 to March 10, 2024. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.

Submission Requirements:
  • cover letter that describes why you believe offshore wind and ocean renewables is important and specify the department you are interested in joining.
  • A resume  
  • Work samples. Include writing and/or photography/video or design portfolio (as relevant)
  • A list of references (recommendation letter is a plus)

Ideal candidates will have excellent communication and writing skills and have keen attention to details. An interest in offshore wind and ocean renewable energy is required.
