Job Overview
Work with Profs. Meskhidze and Hamilton to design and produce a series of work booklets and other tools to support a new course in atmospheric instrumentation. The goal of these tools is to aid students in learning to access and use the data produced from the instruments that are at our field site. The official instrumentation manuals already exist but we are looking for someone to fully read these manuals carefully and develop a series of guides (with us) for students to get data in a more useful and accessible way.
Hours are flexible, with a minimum of 5 hours per week and the pay is commensurate with the experience required for the job.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Work closely with the professors as they develop the teaching modules and help them identify where bottlenecks exist in terms of data accessibility and use
- Write a step-by-step guide for undergraduate students on how to access and quality control data widely used in climate, weather, and air quality studies.
- Explore a suite of atmospheric instrumentation and write short guides for their application
Qualifications
- Knowledge of programming (in MATLAB) for data analysis and visualization
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
