Course Description
Identification of major aspects of bioeconomy sectors; focus on sustainable forest bioeconomy; identification of potential applications of hardwood forests for the southeastern USA; description of short-rotation hardwood forests and their management and applications; practical experience in establishing and managing short-rotation hardwood forests; applications of forest growth and productivity models; development of budgets for establishing and managing short-rotation hardwood forests; assessment of the cost-effectiveness of short-rotation hardwood forests.
