Opportunity for Minority STEM Undergrad Students

Level the Playing Field is a UNC-based nonprofit organization whose mission is to catalyze the next generation of diverse college students by providing them with financial, social, and career equity to generate change in their communities. 

LTPF has partnered with NCSU and surrounding NC schools over the past four years to recruit diverse STEM students into a year-long program of professional and technical development that ultimately places them into summer internships with our Fortune 500 BioPharma and Tech partners, like Eli Lilly and SAS.

In our program, students receive:

• Placement into cohorts of other diverse STEM students across NC
• Mentorship from graduate students or industry employees in their field of interest
• Class credit in the Spring semester (2 credit hours)
• $1,000 scholarship stipend in Summer to cover living expenses
• Placement into a substantial internship
• A lifelong community of diverse changemakers who will support you throughout your career
