MEAS Undergraduate Updates

We are looking for entry-level geologists, environmental scientists,  etc. to become part of our team. American Environmental and Construction Services, Inc. is a small veteran-owned business that conducts environmental investigations and remediation predominantly in the state of Georgia, but we also have projects in Alabama, North and South Carolina, and Virginia, among other places.

We are growing as a company, and would like to reach out to any interested graduating students in your department to offer an opportunity to gain experience and training in the following fields/practices:

  • Phase I Environmental Site Assessments
  • Phase II Environmental Site Assessments
  • Brownfield Investigations
  • RCRA investigations and RCRA Closures
  • Groundwater monitoring, sampling, and remediation
  • Soil investigation and remediation
  • Projects with local, state, and federal agencies including Hazardous Site Inventory Sites and Superfund Sites.

The items listed above are just a snapshot of what we do, and don’t really do justice to the variety of projects we work on. I’ve been working at this company for over six years, and can say from experience that every day is a different challenge, a different problem to solve.

The full-time position we are advertising for is field and travel heavy, and there is an emphasis on practical  as well as technical skills. We offer competitive pay, paid vacation and sick leave, retirement benefits, and all required training.

I’m hoping this email has found the right recipient, but if not, please let me know who I might reach out to in order to notify any interested students about this opportunity.

Anyone interested in this opportunity can send resumes and/or contact Scott Becker at sbecker@amenv.com or (770) 754-6440.
