We invite you to apply to this unique Study Abroad Program in Spain that combines entrepreneurship, food, culture, agriculture, and sustainability.
This study abroad program will take place in the City of Valencia and its surrounding agricultural areas, and will be headquartered at the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia. We plan to learn about entrepreneurship, specialty products, food systems, local food, and supply chain. We will visit 9 different farming operations that reflect different crops and products, and different strategies of marketing and commercialization; visits will include meetings with key decision-makers. We will visit added-value operations, from cheese-making to agritourism operations; most of the visits will be focused on companies that operate in niche markets. We will discuss and analyze different strategies to thrive in local and niche markets.
