MEAS Undergraduate Updates

The Department of History is excited to announce the 2023 interdisciplinary Summer in Cuba: History, Environment and Culture program, based in Havana. The program runs for four weeks, with a U.S. based component from May 1-14, followed by the Cuba-based component from May 21 to June 4.

Students may take one or both of the following three credit courses: “Environmental History of Cuba,” (HI 318) and “Cuba Today: Historical and Sociopolitical Perspectives” (HI 317) Both courses are offered in English, and although it is preferred that students have completed two semesters of Spanish, it is not a requirement.
