The Clinch Valley Soil and Water Conservation District is accepting applications for a full-time Education Specialist position. Come join our team where your creativity, enthusiasm and organization will be appreciated. This position will coordinate and promote the development of conservation education projects, programs, and activities by school and community groups and maintain a strong public relations effort for the District in Russell County VA. Additionally, this position will include some administrative duties.  Applicant must be organized and possess excellent communication and technical/grant writing skills along with experience in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Facebook and Website design applications and the ability to work on many projects simultaneously. Applicant must have at least a Bachelor’s degree in education/ natural resources related field or equivalent experience as determined by the District. A qualified candidate should be experienced, creative, and enthusiastic about working with both young and lifelong learners. Starting salary based on qualifications/experience ranging from $35,722 – $39,968.  Additionally, an excellent benefit package including health and dental insurances as well as participation in the Virginia Retirement System is also included.
