NTR 210: Introduction to Community Food Security is an ONLINE service-learning course available during Summer Session II. It fulfills both GEP Interdisciplinary Perspectives and US Diversity requirements.
This service-learning course is open any undergraduate student. There is a strong emphasis on how different disciplines can contribute to interdisciplinary community food security efforts, so students of all majors are encouraged to enroll in this course!
This course is online and asynchronous. Students will select a community food security-related community partner in their own community, with which they will complete an in-person service-learning project (at times arranged by the student and community partner). NTR 210 is ideal for students who are passionate about engaging in and helping to improve their communities.
