MEAS Undergraduate Updates
FLS 105 Intensive Elementary Spanish I and II will again be offered.  FLS 105 provides the opportunity for students to complete all of the material contained in FLS 101 and FLS 102 in one semester.  A brief description of the course is below.
 
FLS 105 Intensive Elementary Spanish I and II  (6 credits) at 4:30-7:15 T/TH  
  **FLS 105 is equivalent to FLS 101 plus FLS 102. 
 
  **FLS 105 satisfies the university foreign language proficiency requirement and serves as the prerequisite for FLS 201 and FLS 212.
 
  **The course is designed for beginning students with no previous experience with Spanish as well as those students that have placed into FLS 101 or FLS 110 through FLL’s departmental placement exam.  Students placing into FLS 102 may also be eligible to take the class in certain cases.
 
FLS 105 Catalog Description:   An intensive course equivalent to FLS 101 plus FLS 102.  Development of communicative abilities within an integrated skills approach (speaking, listening, reading, writing).  Introduction to the cultures of the Spanish-speaking world.  Includes written and oral assignments of language structures and vocabulary.  Conducted entirely in Spanish.  Closed to native speakers of Spanish.
