We work primarily on geohazards across North and South America for many types of clients (https://bgcengineering.ca/services-and-sectors/). In 2021 we spun up a new sector aimed at renewable energy, so lots more good stuff coming! In addition to geotechnical engineers and geoscientists, we also have a full stack software development team that builds proprietary software for managing geohazards across clients and geographies. We build 3D software for immersive experiences in desktop and holographic environments (this is a pretty mind blowing technology we have here, still wrapping my head around it!). We also have a data science team working on cloud native storage and processing technologies to facilitate our geohazards work.
Many of the positions would allow the candidate to sit in any of our offices (mostly these are across Canada, our only brick and mortar in the US is in Golden, CO, and we also have an office in Santiago, Chile).
