The Data Science Academy is new to NC State, and we’re excited to help you learn about career opportunities. Registration is open now for NC State’s all-campus Data Science Virtual Career Expo hosted by the Data Science Academy on November 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m with a mid-day entrepreneurship workshop and evening career panel 7-8:30 p.m.
Even if you are not yet on the internship or job market, you will benefit from uploading your resume and making appointments to talk with employers. We are excited that there will be company representatives in virtual booths from Beroe, Inc, Capgemeni, Collaborations Pharmaceuticals, Inc, Gilead Sciences, John Deere, Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, LexisNexis Legal and Professional, Locomotive Agency, MetLife, PDA Inc., Prometheus Group, Seamon Whiteside, SMRT Systems, Inc. and Syngenta.
The companies have a wide range of opportunities for interns and employees with some data science experience who want to learn more on the job. In addition to the career fair with employers from 10 AM – 2 PM, we will offer two sessions of an entrepreneurship workshop at 12-12:30 PM and 12:30-1:00 PM facilitated by Dr. Jennifer Capps of the NC State Entrepreneurship Garage. We will also have an evening career panel 7-8:30 PM with a diverse group of industry experts.
