I wanted to alert you to an upcoming informal event that may be of interest to folks working broadly in coastal science. Ever wondered how your data or research ideas might have an impact on the ocean-related economy? Then take a “Free Swim” in Durham to meet with others in the emerging world of “bluetech”. This event is connected to an activity I am leading (more on this in the coming weeks) as part of NC State’s Coastal Resilience and Sustainability Initiative related to the blue economy (more information on the blue economy here if interested).
