The TRIO Ronald E. McNair Scholars Program application will open on October 15, 2021, for our 2021-22 cohort! We specifically have an immediate need for students that meet the first-generation and meet the income requirements to fill those available spots. TRIO McNair is a federally-funded program designed to increase the number of students from historically excluded and underrepresented groups who go on to graduate studies leading to the completion of their doctoral degree.
The application and all materials are due as soon as possible but no later than November 30, 2021.
In the meantime, we invite you to share with your students an invitation to attend one of several information sessions with Dr. Lara Chatman, Associate Director of McNair. Potential scholars may also schedule a one-on-one with Dr. Chatman if their schedule does not align with the proposed information session date. The link to register is go.ncsu.edu/reminfo
