The Biotechnology Program offers 400-level lab courses on cutting-edge interdisciplinary topics such as chemical biology, synthetic biology, DNA forensics, virus biotechnology, high-throughput discovery, cancer drug discovery and development, plant genetic engineering, directed evolution, electron microscopy, plant comparative transcriptomic, environmental DNA analysis and applications, proteomics and microbial metabolic modeling.
The pre-requisite for these courses is BIT 410, and we now offer four sections per semester. One NEW section is completely online.
We are also a 200-level course focused on biotechnology and sustainability – and aligning with the UN SGD goals and the sustainability initiatives of the campus.
If students are interested in the Biotechnology minor, please encourage them to enroll in BIT 410.
