The Geoscience Education & Mentorship Support (GEMS) program has launched! GEMS grew out of two existing programs, the Earth Science Mentor Match and the Graduate Admissions in the Earth Sciences program, and was created to provide accessible mentorship to any undergraduates interested in applying to graduate school in the Earth Sciences. We are actively recruiting mentees. Potential mentees will be early graduate students and undergraduates at any level.
Our program focuses on providing individual mentorship. We are open to anyone who is interested, and we have a focus on supporting traditionally underrepresented groups. Mentees will be paired with mentors to help with their graduate school and/or fellowship applications. Matching for the 2021-2022 academic year will begin in August 2021. Mentees can sign up here.
