MEAS Undergraduate Updates

https://stroudcenter.org/jobs/nsf-reu-biogeochem/

The REU participant will gain research experience in watershed biogeochemistry while being part of a broader multidisciplinary team at the Stroud Center. Work will combine the laboratory analysis of dissolved organic carbon (DOC) concentrations and optical properties of the dissolved organic matter (DOM), optimization of bioreactors to measure bioavailable DOC, and the use of field spectrophotometers (S::CAN) that collect stream water absorption spectra at high-frequencies. Project findings will advance our understanding of DOM dynamics at high-resolution temporal scales.
