MEAS Undergraduate Updates
The Biotechnology Program (BIT) offers several molecular biology courses as well as minors and certificates in Molecular Biotechnology: biotech.ncsu.edu and the undergraduate minor: go.ncsu.edu/bitminors

BIT 410/510 is the prerequisite for the topic-specific module courses. Three sections of BIT 410/510 are currently offered every fall and spring and one section in the summer. The undergraduate minor in Biotechnology requirements include BIT 410, two 8-week modules, an approved ethics course, and a research experience in molecular biotechnology.  Alternatively, BIT 402/502 Professional Development and an extra module can substitute for the research requirement.

Please check with the instructors to verify if the course will have an in-person component.

We are also launching a special topics course in Biotechnology: BIT 295 Biotechnology and Sustainability. More information about this course can be found: https://youtu.be/ot9QKtibVlk  (30-sec video trailer)
