Residents who believe they need to remain in University Housing must complete a Special Circumstance Housing Request Form by noon on Friday, August 28. Residents can expect a response to this request by 5 p.m. on or before Wednesday, September 2. The following criteria will be considered for residents requesting to remain in on-campus housing:
- International students.
- Those experiencing housing insecurity.
- Those who need access to reliable internet or technology.
- Those with academic commitments that require an on-campus presence, including graduate students with on-campus courses.
- Out of state students who are unable to travel at this time.
- Permanent residents of ES King or Western Manor Apartments.
- Those who have a high-risk family member at home.
- Members of the GLBT community who would return to an unaffirming household or other location where you will feel unsafe due to your gender or sexuality and will prevent you from engaging in your courses.
- Those with other compelling needs or hardships.
Semesterly housing charges will remain in place for those approved to remain on-campus.
