Consultech Environmental, LLC has an immediate need for an entry-level Environmental Technician at our Apex, North Carolina location. Employment is expected to be seasonal full time / part time. Experience in environmental site assessments, soil/groundwater investigations and remediation, report writing and CAD is preferred.
The Environmental Technician will assist senior staff in performing environmental projects from start to finish. Projects may include Phase I (ASTM Protocol) Environmental Site Assessments, Phase II and Phase III Environmental Assessments, UST Removal/Installations, soil and groundwater assessments, site remediation, remedial system operation and maintenance, remedial investigations / feasibility studies, hazardous waste management, lab packaging, preparation of Stormwater and SPCC Plans, permitting, report writing, etc. Requires travel within immediate area of office location in company vehicle with some overnight travel expected.
Skills/Qualifications:
0-2 years of experience in one or more of the above areas,
B.S. in Biology/Geology/Engineering/Environmental Sciences (or pursing B.S. with completed advanced coursework in the areas),
Attention to detail, verbal communication, written communication, functional and technical skills, action oriented, knowledge of environmental laws and regulations, computer skills,
Ability to complete OSHA 40-Hr HAZWOPER Training or possess current OSHA 40-Hr HAZWOPER Training / 8-Hr Annual Refresher,
Valid NC Driver’s License.
