Now that the semester has concluded and you have some additional time for creative pursuits, pull out your camera or phone, take some images and submit them to the MEAS Scientific Image Contest. It might also be a great time to organize all those prior images you have created and have stored on your hard drive. Find a few gems and submit them for consideration.
Contest Rules:
You can submit one image for consideration to each of four categories.

Laboratory/Computer Science
Scenic/Wildlife
Abstract Geoscience
Judges:
We have an esteemed panel of judges who have agreed to review your images using a scoring rubric.

Sharon Levine: A photographer, photo book editor and prior Daily Tarheel photojournalist

Entry Deadline:
Entries are due May 31st. We anticipate announcing the winners on June 8th.
1st prize images in each category will have their image(s) immortalized (or until they fall off the wall) on canvas as shown below in the department office suite.
