NC State
MEAS Undergraduate Updates
I’m the news director at KVIA-TV in El Paso. We have an opening for a weekend meteorologist, weekday back-up, and weekday reporter we will be filling at the end of May and I’m hoping you can help us connect with some of your graduating seniors.
One of your alums, Kyle Hanson (class of 2017) landed his first job with us. We were very impressed with him and the program at NCSU. Go Wolfpack!

El Paso is a great market for a meteorologist entering the professional world. We have successfully taken fresh graduates and after a couple of years here they’ve gone straight to Philadelphia, Phoenix, Dallas to name a few.

While we don’t have hurricanes or tornadoes, our viewers deeply care about weather here in the sunny southwest. We have our fair share of dust storms, monsoon and winter storms.

We take weather seriously, have state-of-the-art equipment and one of the best weather consultants in the country through our partnership with Frank Magid Associates.
Here’s a link to our job posting.
