The Masters of Art + Design (MAD) program at North Carolina State University challenges imaginative self-driven students to explore new and exciting intersections in interactive and emergent media.
The MAD program aims to create leading practitioners who will shape the future of the creative industries from experiential, experimental, technological, and critically informed perspectives. MAD students underpin the making of creative artifacts in interactive, experimental, and emergent media with extensive research in the theory and practice of creativity, design, and technology. Students are encouraged to explore a range of creative forms including: storytelling; animation; serious games; interactive installations; kinetic and mechatronic interactions; virtual and augmented reality; data visualization; wearable technologies; and innovative materials and textiles.
