New Summer Training Programme Open for Applicants

GeoTenerife is proud to announce its summer training programme, GeoIntern, is now open for applications.

This summer training programme is run in association with INVOLCAN, the Canary Island Volcanology Institute.

For 2019 we are running 11 programmes on four of the Canary Islands, and offering two scholarships for talented young scientists.

Depending on the programme, participants will learn highly transferable laboratory and field skills for:

– Geothermal exploration (soil geochemistry)
– Volcano monitoring (geochemistry and hydrogeochemistry)
– Seismology
– Environmental monitoring
– Science communication

From September 2019, GeoTenerife will launch its own field trip centre in a newly-renovated historic Canarian property with dramatic views to the sea.
